Matt has been a physics teacher for 14 years and has taught thousands of students in-class and one-on-one as a private tutor. His approach to education is to give students exciting and meaningful experiences – to help them learn in a context of what they love. This is why he spends so much time with his students playing instruments in the waves unit and analyzing their frequencies with their phones, watching MythBusters, discussing Marvel movies in the forces and energy units, or using his computer simulations to see if a bullet can clear a mountain, how time dilation appears in relativity, or how electrons move within an electroscope.

Matt has tutored in physics, math and science, personalizing his tutoring to individual learning styles and abilities. This ranges from helping students pass a course, to helping them excel in AP physics, to speaking with students who just want to learn more about the crazy world of quantum physics.

Matt has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Space and Communications: Physics Stream from York University, a Master of Applied Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toronto.
